From the home screen choose Find, then Search, and type Downloader.

Open the Downloader app (the orange icon by AFTVnews), press Get, and wait for the install to finish.

Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options.
Tip: Can't see Developer options? Open My Fire TV → About and press the device name 7 times in a row to reveal it.

Choose Install unknown apps and turn Downloader ON.

Open Downloader for the first time and press Allow so it can access files.

Press Go/Load. An AFTVnews page shows for a few seconds, then moves on to the app link by itself.

Some links open the file host page (e.g. MediaFire) before downloading: press I Accept to close the cookie notice, then the blue button with the download arrow.

When the download finishes, press Install.

Press Done, then Delete to remove the downloaded file and free up space.

Find Digital World under Your Apps & Channels. Open it and sign in.

Open Google Play on the TV, search for Downloader (by AFTVnews) and press Install.

Go to Settings → Device Preferences → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources, and turn on Downloader.

Press the download button (or scan the QR code with your phone camera if you're reading this on another device). If the file host page opens (e.g. MediaFire), press the blue button with the download arrow; if Chrome warns "File might be harmful", press Download anyway.

Open the file from the download notification, or from Chrome's ⋮ menu → Downloads. If the phone says it isn't allowed to install unknown apps from this source: press Settings.
